Perdition

Invisible silently roaming around

Piakyree’s flimsy wings sweeping the ground,

Moon rays of madness

Clawed splayed feet, two n’ half hands long

Click against stones as he sings his song

Low and mournful, grating to hear,

A song full of longing, loneliness, fear

His smooth scales blacklit by moonlight,

His liquid eyes a terrible sight

But the fear he owns as he wanders around

Looking for someone who cannot be found

Makes a yearning so deep in his heart start to swell

For someone in the last life he didn’t treat well

Regrets are wasted, appeals turn to stone

As he knows from now on

He’s forever alone.
